Gary Neville visits Workers accommodation
Former England and Manchester United star Gary Neville expects Qatar to host a ‘cutting edge’ FIFA World Cup in 2022 after visiting Doha Stadiums and Workers accommodation.
We were honored to welcome Gary, currently a commentator on Sky Sports and in partnership with Bein Sports, his news team and the Supreme Committee to Workers accommodation on the 20th of March 2019. Gary and his team were greeted by our CTC team to discuss and document how we have implemented the new labor law set out by the ‘Workers Welfare’ to create a more positive surrounding and facility for not only the workers building the FIFA 2022 stadiums but also for workers from various projects across Qatar.
Gary, who won 256 caps for Manchester United and played at both the 1998 and 2006 World Cups, was particularly impressed with our accommodation facility on how we have created not only an atmosphere for workers to feel part of a community but also the extra amenities we have available for the workers around the clock to maintain a healthy body and mind through various sports activities which includes the GA Football for Development activities.
While matters continue apace of the pitch and the 2022 World Cup in hands reach, we will continue to support the FIFA Federation, SC and GA in preparation for the World Cup and continue to grow and work towards Qatar’s 2030 Vision.
